Who we are

Sebastian Arrebola
Founder

Sebastian was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism. He took a one-year mountain guide training course, climbing in different parts of Argentina such as Mendoza, Bariloche and Tierra del Fuego.
In 2000, he moved to Ushuaia where he became a guide in Tierra del Fuego. Concurrently, he worked on several vessels visiting sea mammals and bird colonies at the southernmost tip of South America. He sailed to many places around the world including to the Mediterranean Sea and around the mystic Cape Horn.
In 2002, he moved to England, where he studied sea survival, marine radio operations (short range), and first aid, all accredited by the Royal Yachting Association.
Sebastian is specialised in polar tourism and exploration history. His first trip to Antarctica was on board a 36 ft (12 m) sailing boat; during this one-month voyage he developed skills on ice navigation he learned first hand about the Antarctic environment and natural history. He has lead many expeditions, and has also worked as assistant expedition leader, historian, and zodiac driver on board several ships. Sebastian speaks English and Spanish.

Christian Rotger
Consultant

Christian was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he studied tourism for three years.

In 1997 he moved to Ushuaia where he worked for several airlines companies such as Aerolineas Argentinas, LAPA Lineas Aereas, and Sur Lineas Aereas, developing charter services for travel agencies and tour operators.
He also worked in different tour operators in Ushuaia, providing shore assistance for cruise ships,and also as adventure tour guide, and branch manager.

In 2003 he moved to Andorra and lived there for three years, using his abilities in the department of costume services for ski resorts developing skills in ski and winter activities.

His sailing experience was acquainted while sailing in different places in the world, such as Australia, the Mediterranean Sea, and Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego.

Christian is specialized in East Africa, where he worked leading groups in tours around Kenia, Tanzania, and Zanzibar, visiting and guiding Serengeti, Massai Mara, Selous, Mahale and Ruaha National Park, among others, Currently, Christian is a ship chandler, specializing in supplies and lodging.

Christian speaks English and Spanish.

Shoshanah Jacobs
Marine Biologist

Shoshanah was born in Ottawa, Canada. Moving to the east coast of Canada, she ear-

ned a Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Biology, studying harbour seal population dynamics and completing an independent study on the shark distribution around San Salvador Island, Bahamas, while spending as much time in the water with them as possible.
Her MSc dissertation focused on the acoustic ecology of seals and the effects of aquaculture on their population distribution. She returned to Ottawa in 2001 where she earned her Doctorate on the energy dynamics of Arctic seabirds, having spent four seasons living among them on the Arctic’s rugged cliffs.
During her university career, she became politically active and has gained valuable experience in public speaking, media interviews, and fundraising.
Her fieldwork lead her to some of the most isolated areas of Canada, sparking a passion for expeditions and travel.
In 2005, she joined an Inuit owned company taking tourists on ship-based expeditions

to Canada’s North. She has worked as Expedition Leader, lecturer, naturalist, and zo-

diac driver.
Most recently, she has been travelling in South America, learning Spanish and sailing
to the Antarctic Peninsula, the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, and other remote is-

lands in the Southern Ocean, as Expedition Leader, biology guide and zodiac driver.
Shoshanah speaks English, French, and Spanish.

Captain Jorge Aldegheri
Marine Consulting

Jorge has a passion for adventure. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he joined the Manuel Belgrano marine school when he was nineteenth years old. Life at sea took him to many places around the world sailing on board cargo ship, bunkers, carriers, and suppliers.
Jorge has years of experience as captain in Polar Regions, in Antarctica, Falklands Islands (Islas Malvinas) and South Georgia, South Orkneys, and South Shetland Islands. He has also captained in the Arctic, and was the pioneer to open a tourist route in the Eastern Canadian Arctic. Legendary for his knowledge of accessible anchorage positions, he can provide you with the detailed information that you need to make weather-based decisions.

With a reputation for his navigational skills and taste in classical music, Jorge’s marine experience is priceless when it comes to Polar Regions.
